Cache Question for Thomas

Postby United001 » January 15 2005

Thomas,
I use Flight Keeper on my laptap across a network, FS9 resides on my main PC, the PC also has a FlightKeeper copy so that the ACARS device connects properly. It works great this way by the way. My question is this. I recently added some payware scenery. Naturally, Flight Keeper on my laptop wanted to update the cache. The only problem is that over the network, the update takes a long long long time. I tried updating the cache on the PC first, this was in fact very fast.......... then tried to copy the updated .dat file over to my laptop. The laptop copy of FlightKeeper did not like that at all and tried to reinstall itself. In other words, the question is, is there a way for me to let my PC update the cache, then successfully copy it over to the laptop without upsetting FlightKeeper on the laptop. Hope this question is not too ackward!!  Thanks for a great program!     Randy Jura, KPDX

Normally you only need to copy the AFD*.dat and Nav*.dat to your network PC. This works for many other users.
