Request - IAS Delay in Critique Cfg

Postby jordanal » October 09 2011

Hey Thomas,
First, the 3.2 beta seems to be working well. Thanks for this update :D

Second, would it be possible to add an optional delay (time) parameter to each of the IAS critique speeds in the cfg? I'm finding that ActiveSky with various gusts and turbulance settings, can easily trip the IAS penalty, below 10,000ft. I currently have the lower IAS penalty speed set to higher value (260kts), which kind of solves the problem, but I think a self-imposed 30 second delay on a 250knt speed for the lower penalty value would yield much more realistc results. Maybe we could have seperate delay values (in seconds) associated with each of the IAS penalty triggers? 8)

Thanks again and regards,
AL

That's currently not possible as I don't have a time value for it. FSFK currently logs the highest IAS during departure and approach and those values are used in the critique (as seen on the additional tab in the flight editor). Such a feature means introducing new boolean values, that detect if a given speed is reached for at least a given time period. So something for a later version, but not for v3.2. I will add it to my user wish list.

Thanks Thomas - adding it to the wish list sounds like a good plan. :)
