FS9 (FS2004) freezes

Postby wlehm » June 18 2011

Hi Thomas, I'm using FSFK several years and like it very much! Unfortunately, after many trials I found out that FSFK let the Simulator freezes under undefined circumstances. It appears only on approach when the gears are levelled and three green. I tried last time several approaches with definitely same airport,t ime, weather, date, ai-traffic and aircraft. All approaches went fine but the one with FSFK running. Even with and without FSFK-sound.
Might be, You have an answer and solvation for this
My PC runs under WIN 7 and two AGP ATI 5870s.
Thansk for investigation

Are you using the ACARS Device? Normally FSFK should not be able to freeze FS. FSFK uses FSUIPC to read the FS variables. So it doesn't even communicate with FS directly. Only the ACARS device could freeze or crash FS directly.

Hi Thomas,
don't using any ACARS. But today I suffered a new freeze after landing at KIAH with PMDG MD11.
Using ASE, FS Forces, FSUIPC and nothing else. I believe it depends on the sound file it is using at the right second when Simulator freezes.
After gear down or as today when PMDG sais 80knots and the reverser is still on.
Might be You have an answer, although it is not Your FSFK
Best regards Werner

Sorry no idea what might causing it. Maybe a sound driver problem?
