How do I use FSFK with multiple VA's??

Postby theack777 » February 06 2011

I belong to 2 VA's and when I try to send the pirep, I have to go into the options menu and templates/email and actually change all the information back and forth every time i fly with the other VA. I tried creating 2 different pilots and 2 different log books and changed the info for both of them but I still have to manually go into the options menu as described above

Simply change the VA related template(s) for the pilot or the logbook. FSFK will automatically use the template assigned and ignores the global settings.
You normally don't need two logbooks and two pilots. I personally use two pilots and one VA logbook.

Hope this helps

Could you explain how to do that please? I am not sure I understand what it means to simply change the VA template for that pilot.

Press on the toolbar button to edit the pilot or logbook. There you can choose the templates to force.

Thomas,

I think, this doesn't work correctly at the moment. Remember my request. The problem is, that in case you have logbook related templates, that they are copied into the general settings during the flight. But as soon as the global settings are changed, they can't be changed by logbook entries. I tried this but it didn't work for me. So at the moment you have to change the global settings when switching VAs.

I will lock these settings while flying in the next version. So in the meantime don't open the settings dialog while flying.

Thanks

Hi, one question, here

First, congratulatios for the great FS Keeper.

I'm about to buy your product since it's required by one of the VA I fly
with. My CEO will send me shortly a code to activate/purchase the VA version
of FS Keeper.

But my question is the following

I fly with other airlines as well, which do not use FSKeeper, but I would
like to track these flight as well with your product

The idea is:

- Record and send to the webservice the flights flown with Airline1
- Record and do not send to anywhere the flight flown with Airline2 and
Airline3
- Maybe in the future: Record and send to the webservice the flights flown
with Airline4

Will this be posible with the VA version? Is the VA version different in any
way of the 3.4 "not VA" version, ?

Thank you for your attention

Why not simply use either different pilots or logbooks for this. I personally use one logbook per VA (there I set the PIREP and ACARS templates for the different VAs).
