Error line 50640

Postby ruudopdeweegh » December 29 2009

Running FS9 with FSFK 3.0.1 my last two flights ended up in a "disaster".
After activating the parking brakes upon arrival at the gate, FSFK responded with an error window:
"An error occurred while saving the flight.
Error (438) in line 50640:
Object doesn't support this property or method
Source: FSFK".
The flight could not be saved, so unfortunately all for nothing. Well there are worse things in life,
but what is going on and what can I do to avoid this problem?
While flying I always have the following programs active:
FS9, FSnav, FSpax, FSFK, FSinn with DBridge and FSFDT control panel, ServInfo and latest Airacs.
Kind regards,
Ruud.

Did FSFK crash or did it just fail to save the flight to the database? In the second case you could do the following:

1. Save a backup of the current flight (4th button on the toolbar)
2. Restart FSFK
3. Load the backup from step 1 (third button)
4. Save the flight to the DB

Hope this helps

Upon saving the flight I got that message. After clicking ok on the error message, FSFK fully disappeared.
So I guess what I can do is trying to make that backup (CTRL-F6) first before the final saving.
As soon as I landed ( 5 hours from now) I will let you know what happens this time...
Kind regards,
Ruud.

Ok it took a long time, but I am finally landed at NZCH.
FSFK reported the end of the flight and I first saved the flight with CTRL-F6. Nothing happened except saving of course.
After doing this I wanted to save the flight officially with CTRL-S but I found the saved flight already in the database.
Next flight I will do the Boeing 757 again because with that aircraft the FSFK problems raised. Perhaps is that aircraft causing such a problem?
Will keep you posted..
Meanwhile, wishing you a Happy New Year!!
Kind regards,
Ruud.
