VATSIM traffic on world map

Hi,

I cant see the VATSIM traffic on world map whereas IVAO traffic is seen alright.
I did change the registry line from http://data.vatsim.net/data/status.txt to http://www.vatsim.net/data/status.txt
but VATSIM traffic still not showing, it shows everywhere, on Vroute, Servinfo etc, but not on fsfk world map ??
Maybe I missed a setting or something?

Please help anyone?

Works fine here. Please verify that the entry in the registry is correct and that VATSIM options in the world map are configured correctly.

Thanks Thomas for that, normally I wouldnt have checked it again as I changed it already, but hey, I thought I check again.

And the VATSIM line changed back to the old address...The reason is that when I changed the old address for the new one in the registry, FSFK was opened so when I closed it the old address when back to the registry as FSFK didnt register the change as it was open, that makes sense, so thats why when I reopened another time FSFK and checked wolrd map, VATSIM wouldnt show as the old address was back in the registry, and I didnt think of that at the moment.

So I edited the registry again but this time with FSFK not running obviously so that the new address could register in the registry.

It is all working now

I'm having the same issue, but the same solution doesn't fix it. I make the change in the registry and close REGEDIT then launch FSFK. Check the world map and still no traffic or online ARTCCs. Recheck the registry and the old value is back. Have tried multiple times and it always returns. Everything is selected for VATSIM on the world map except "Show Observers".

EDIT: Issue solved. Had to delete the registry key and add a new key with the corrected value. Editing it did not work.

I am experiencing the same problems as described.
So what and where can I change settings?
Where in the registry do I need to check and possibly change?

The key you need to modify is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Thomas Molitor EDV Service\FS Flight Keeper\3.0\MapDisplay\VATIMStatusAddress and the value should be set to:

http://www.vatsim.net/data/status.txt

Can someone please explain why every time I change the registry and restart FSFK it changes the value back to data and not www??? And no I am not changing it with FSFK open.

FSFK automatically stores the last received address. So that should be fine and you don't need to change the value in the registry again.

Ok you are not understanding me. EVERY time I start FSFK, I can NEVER download VATSIM aircraft. I can get IVAO fine just no VATSIM. I went in to the registry like you instructed and changed the value to 'WWW' instead of 'DATA'. Well I close the registry and start FSFK again and the same thing. No VATSIM. So I go back to the registry and FSFK has changed the value back to 'DATA' from 'WWW'. That happens every time.

Are you using the latest FSFK version? It works fine here with the following setting: http://www.vatsim.net/data/status.txt

Could you tell me where to find those settings? What file would I look in to see my settings and where is it at?

The setting is stored in the registry under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Thomas Molitor EDV Service\FS Flight Keeper\3.0\MapDisplay\VATIMStatusAddress.
If you cannot get it to work then start FSFK in debug mode (via the windows start menu shortcut) and mail me the resulting log file stored under "Documents\FS Flight Keeper\Logs\FSFK.log".
